Lesson 1


	Welcome to the first of many lessons where I will be telling you how to train your monkey to do various tasks around the house. Monkey training can be a long and testing journey, but the reward at the end is one that you will have the rest of your life. Remember the main pionts of monkey training patience patience patience With this in mind you are mentaly prepared to train that monkey. Lets start with a simple task and reward training sesion that I call "stick us the video in". For this lesson I will be using a Uakari monkey from the Amazon flood basin. Sometimes known as the English monkey because of it's red face this little chap is called Albert and is one of the best monkeys in the house. Albert likes eating Oranges, Bannanas and when I can get them Acai palmhearts.

Step 1 Show your monkey the things that are on offer, the video that you want putting in and the reward. Make sure that the video and the Orange (or whatever fruit your monkey prefer) are an equal distance from your monkey. Once you have your monkeys full atention you are ready for step 2.
	Step 2 You should have the monkeys full attenion by now and they should be moving in on that orange by now, if not then try coaxing it a little bit more until it does. Whenever your monkey moves in on the fruit draw it away but leave the video for it. This will take time so try to be patient and keep noding your head at the Video casette and the VCR. Once your monkey takes hold of the Video casette you are ready for step 3.
Step 3 Now your monkey has the cassette in its hands. This is an important stage in training as your monkey needs lots of encouragement to put that tape in. Put the orange in view but make sure that you are in control of that fruit. Once your monkey figures out that the video fits in the machine you should be away, just be carefull that the cassette goes in the right way up but once its got it sussed out you shouldn't have to tell it again.
	Step 4 Once that videos in there give your monkey its reward and it will know its done good. Hey what about watching that video with your monkey, remember, that monkey is your buddy .
