Do your monkeys miss home?

Look at that face, its enough to make you cry. This monkey is missing home and that is bad news for a home monkey trainer. Homesick monkeys under preform by a masssive 55% and when one monkey gets homesick you can bet your ass the rest of your monkeys will follow. So what causes this cripling monkey depresion? Well the three bigest causes of M.M.H.S(Monkeys Missing Home Syndrome) are:
  • Lack of trees or things to swing from.
  • An unfamiliar diet or a change in food.
  • The trainer is not giving their monkeys enough attention.
  • Have a look around your monkeys enviroment to see what you can do. Trees don't grow in a day so what about geting some scaffolding in as a treat for the little fellas, or making a special effort to get food from their home land.
The best way to counter M.M.H.S is to spend some quality time with your primate pal. Pick their fleas and lice from thier heads, peel a bannana or two for them, watch discovery channel or wildlife programes to remind them of home. I remember once when Bernie, my DeBrazza monkey from Equatorial Guinea was looking a bit peaky. Well I allready had my monkey scaffold set up and had plenty of Bernies favorite oranges for him to eat and store in his cheek pouches, but he still didn, seem his normal happy self. Well one night after I had finished training up some Japanesse Macaques to wash up I watched a programe about the African rainforest, it was facinating. Bernie came and sat on the chair arm and watched the programe with me after an evening of lice picking and reminicing of the good old days, Bernie was a much happier monkey.

    Hey buddy wassup?
